The most anticipated Christmas Party of the year, the 24th Annual Festival of Trees Gala, returns to the Gateway Center on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

For the last 24 years, Gateway Center’s Board of Directors has provided local, not-for-profit organizations an opportunity to raise funds for ongoing and new community- based projects.  Since the event’s inception, nearly half a million dollars in proceeds have been invested in local projects that have enhanced the quality of life for area residents and promoted civic pride.

The beneficiaries of the 2017 Festival of Trees are the Freemasons of Collinsville Masonic Lodge #712 and 712 Charity, Inc.  Freemasonry has for many years worked to assist the youth of our area with their core masonic principle, “In Search of More Light.” Funds received from the 2017 Festival of Trees will be used to help provide seed money to give those interested in pursuing a trade or profession the chance to do so by providing scholarship opportunities for continuing education beyond the high school level.

“We are very excited about sharing the values of Freemasonry and kicking off the Christmas season with the attendants of this year’s Gala.” said Rory Biggs of Collinsville Masonic Lodge.  Approximately 40 fresh-cut, uniquely decorated live trees, dozens of festive wreaths and elegant home décor tablescapes will be available for attendees to bid on during our silent auction with the top 4 decorated trees being auctioned off live at the end of the evening.  “It makes decorating for the holidays so easy and fun!” said Sandy Darling, chairman of this year’s Festival.

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvres, DJ providing the wonderful Holiday carols and songs we all love and decadent desserts to follow.  The Mason’s sincerely appreciate Two Men and A Truck for donating the manpower and trucks over the last decade, in making it possible for delivering all trees purchased at the event to individual homes or place of business.  Tickets are $40 (advanced purchase only) and can be obtained by contacting Sandy Darling at 618-632-1244.  Anyone interested in decorating a live tree or tablescape, or underwriting the decoration of a tree, wreath or tablescape may also contact Sandy for entry guidelines, judging rules and forms.

We have the FAITH to accomplish our goals of providing HOPE to the youth of our community as they accept the CHARITY of our scholarship to continue their education beyond high school.

Since 1993, Gateway Center's Board of Directors has given local not-for-profit organizations the opportunity to raise funds for ongoing and new community based projects through the Festival Of Trees events.

Festival Of Trees guests will enjoy unlimited food and drinks as they stroll the 40,000 square feet of space filled with Christmas and holiday decor, one-of-a-kind trees, gorgeous wreaths and table centerpieces, and tablescapes suitable for any special gathering.  A secret panel of judges will choose their favorite trees.
